Mirai - birthday dinner

In Adliya, there are tons of restaurants. They call it restaurant row. My new favorite sushi restaurant is Mirai. I found this out by reading an article about the new chef in the Time Out Bahrain magazine. He used to work at Nobu in L.A. The sushi was so incredibly fresh and beautiful. I've never had sushi like this. It's a very romantiic restaurant, so we chose to save it for my birthday dinner. It was perfect. The staff was very accomodating and the ambiance with the waterfalls, etc was very relaxing. It's the perfect date night restaurant if you love sushi.

Al Abraaj

This is our favorite restaurant. They are all over Bahrain. Their menu of various fruit juices is awesome. My favorite is the strawberry. They even have avocado juice, but I'm not brave enough to try it. Maybe I should some day. The hummus is our favorite part. It is so cheap and it comes with wonderful, crusty naan (bread) baked in a clay oven. The hummus is served with olive oil and hot chili paste. I usually get hammour, the local fish, and Kenny gets mixed grill which is various meats. We eat there so often the waiters know us by name and already know what to order for us.
